At the club - practically from the very beginning. At first - as a visitor. After a while became a leader of the entertaining detective game ``Riddles``. Took position of Receptionist. Now - Discussion Leader.
What is the English Communication Club for me?
That`s very simple: the place where it is possible to communicate to people in English.
And being more serious... Moscow is a huge City. Here live more than 10 million people and among them, for sure, there are tens thousand ones, familiar with English so-to-speak not by hearsay. Certainly, the majority of them are connected to the language professionally. However there are some who, having finished various linguistic institutions, at the moment don`t have a possibility to keep the language level. And for some people English is just a hobby. They`ve studied it on their own and can read in the language quite well. As for the spoken practice - that`s a big problem because frequently there`s nobody to speak English with among his or her friends and acquaintances. So, our club exists for all those people.
The main goal of our job I believe is to give an opportunity to everyone who came to the club to forget for 2 hours, that English is not their mother tongue and just speak - discuss different topics, participate in games, communicate during tea-break; and all this - in warm and friendly atmosphere. However, such approach imposes certain obligations on visitors as well, therefore people who have Intermediate language level feel by us the most comfortable.

Что такое English Communication Club для меня?
Все очень просто: это место, где можно пообщаться с людьми по-английски. А если серьезно... Москва - огромный мегаполис. Здесь проживает более 10 млн человек, и среди них, наверняка, найдется несколько десятков тысяч, знакомых с английским не понаслышке. Конечно, большинство из низ связаны с языком профессионально, но есть и такие, кто, закончив в свое время лингвистические учебные заведения, не имеют сейчас возможности поддерживать свой языковый уровень. А для некоторых английский - просто хобби. Они изучали его самоcтоятельно и достигли успехов в "письменной" части, а вот с разговорной речью - большие проблемы, так как им, зачастую, просто не с кем поговорить по-английски. Вот для этих людей и существует наш клуб.
Основной целью нашей работы я считаю создание обстановки, дающей возможность каждому пришедщему забыть на 2 часа, что английский - не его родной язык и просто говорить - обсуждать всевозможные вопросы во время дискуссий, участвовать в играх, общаться во время tea-break`а; и все это в непринужденной, дружеской атмосфере. Однако, такой подход накладывает определенные обязательства и на гостей, поэтому наиболее комфортно чувствуют у наc себя те, у кого уровень языка - по крайне мере Intermediate.
